Memories of Jerry evoke memories of friendships shared by all of us in the Class of 1959 for he was not only our Senior Class President, he was truly our "Friend in Chief" -- our example. He was genuine and he knew no strangers. His selections as the "Friendliest" and "Class Favorite" were for good reason. I'm confident that his example in high school has sublimely influenced each of us to befriend others across our lives. Thank you, Jerry!
I told my story about Jerry, Ed Cornell and me on Ed's memory page. They were both great guys. I am sorry I did not get to see them after graduation. As the song says:

Though other times and other days,
May find us gone our separate ways,
We will have these moments to remember.
