Obituary
Davis Humphrey Darwin III, Dave, of Grand Bay, Alabama, passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 80 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha (Chastain) and Davis H. Darwin. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Virginia Darwin; children Jeff (Mary) Darwin, Jason Darwin, Joy Darwin, Tina Hively, Robin (Tami) Turner, and Mandy (Dwayne) Norman; grandchildren Ethan Darwin, Grant Darwin, Cheryl Hively, Rebecca Hively, Caroline Hively, Maddie Norman, Brad Norman, Lindsey Norman, and Natalie Norman; Brothers Bill Darwin and Gary (Bonnie) Darwin; beloved pets Buddy and Precious; and other family and friends.
Dave was born in Huntsville, Alabama on September 22, 1941. He was an avid duck hunter, fisherman, and NASCAR fan. He worked for the state of Alabama for 30 years as a gas pipeline safety inspector.
A memorial service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on November 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Dwayne Norman officiating. There will be a brief visitation prior to the service starting at 1:30 p.m. Special thanks to Covenant Care at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
