Ronnie had one of the best ears for music I have ever known. He could play anything on the piano with just a start of the tune. The choral director called him "Ace".
He added a lot of fun to everyone's enjoyment of the Concert Chorus.

I will never forget his participation in the talent contests we had at DHS. He had some great routines even in the early stages of his musical career. I had always wanted to be in the band and play drums, but football and other sports kept me from it. But I still played around with the drums and went to Ronnie's house more than once and we would gig together. Do you remember that he played at the Tower House restaurant while still in high school or right after. I ate lunch there a good bit and really enjoed hearing him play. The last time I saw him was his his dad died and I think he was still based in DC. A very talented guy.

I remember Ronnie as being a really talented piano player that could play anything after hearing the music one time. It seems like there was a combo that he played with in high school.

Another thing that I remember about him was that teachers had a hard time keeping our grades correct. Mrs. Marshall would give Ronnie my Latin grades and he would get mine. There were other instances like that whenever we had the same class in other subjects.

How I wish that I could play the piano like that!!
