Antoine Dotson

DECATUR -- Antoine Dotson, 51, of Decatur, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Antoine Dotson was born on June 18th, 1962 in New Madrid, MO. He attended DeVry University in Chicago, IL. Antoine worked for ADM as a Chief Operator of which he later retired from. He was an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ and had a great passion for street evangelism. He was a member of New Hope Temple and Deliverance Center COGIC.

Antoine Dotson and Wanda Neal were united in marriage August 31, 1985 in Decatur, IL and they shared 28 wonderful years together.

Cherishing his memories are his wife, Wanda Dotson of Decatur, father and mother, Therman and Dorothy Dotson Sr. both of Decatur, son Bronson (Joanne) Dotson of Decatur, daughters Arika (Damond) Dotson-Campbell of Decatur, Brittany Dotson of Decatur, brothers, Larry Dotson of Chicago, Michael Kellum of Dolton, IL, Harold Hunt of Sikeston, MO, DeWayne (Mary) Dotson of Milwaukee, WI, Donald (Dana Ray) Dotson of Decatur, Therman Dotson Jr. of Decatur, Benito (Carla) Dotson of Decatur, sisters, Sharon Hunt of Matteson, IL, Patrice Kellum of Chicago, IL, Mary Dotson-Brooks of Champaign, IL, Retha Dotson-Rages of Rockhill, SC, Donna Dotson-Smith (Steve) of Decatur, grandchildren, Kalif, Madison, Mckenzie, Malachi and Malik and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Lora Dotson, Carl and Mary Hardin and father-in-law, Robert Neal Sr.

The family would like to give special thanks to the DaVita Dialysis Center in Decatur, and Springfield, the dialysis center at Decatur Memorial Hospital. The family would also like to thank the SIU Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Nephrology Team as well as the nursing staff at Memorial Medical Center.
