Your 50th Yearbook entry:

I spent my entire professional career with the National Transportation Safety Board serving in a variety of positions including Deputy Managing Director and General Counsel. I was the recipient of the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive which is highest award for a career Federal employee, and I fully expect that any day I will be informed that a terrible mistake had been made and that this recognition will be withdrawn. Since retiring in 2006, I have been engaged in numerous volunteer activities, primarily through my church. I have worked with Habitat for Humanity in Richmond, VA, Scranton, PA, western Maryland, the Gulf Coast 4 times related to Hurricane Katrina, New Zealand, Guatemala, Haiti, and El Salvador. I have taught English as a Second Language classes, which as a first generation American has been especially enriching and rewarding. I love to cook and periodically lead a meal for the poor and homeless, sometimes exceeding 400 people. With my bride of 38 years, we have three children and two grand children in the Boston area and one in Seattle. Life is very, very good.
