R.I.P Dave Kellermyer
David Kellermyer Obituary
David S. "Dave" Kellermyer, age 82 of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Glenn Park of Defiance.
He was born on December 8, 1941, to the late Lake and Gertrude (Grether) Kellermyer in Defiance, Ohio. Dave was a 1960 graduate of Defiance High School, and received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University in 1964. On September 20, 1964, he married Connie Dirr, who survives.
Dave was a member of First Church of God. In 1974 he owned and operated his own business, "Kellermyer Propane" for several years until his retirement. Dave was a referee for high school football for many years. He enjoyed playing racquetball, skiing and "putzing" around at Clear Lake, Indiana, his favorite place. Above all he loved spending time with his family.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Connie Kellermyer of Defiance, his daughter, Michelle Retcher of Defiance, and sons, Kirk (Amelia) Kellermyer of Defiance, Matthew Kellermyer of Taylors, SC, and Daniel Kellermyer of Defiance. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his brother, Charlie (Janie) Kellermyer of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Clark D. Kellermyer.
All services for Dave will be private. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
