Karin was a special friend. Always a willing worker, helper, and planner. She planned many of our previous class reunions with much joy. She will be missed. Karin was ill almost a year but was always cheerful and looking forward to attending this year reunion. She would want us to carry on and have a very nice time. Thanks Karin, for showing me your dedication and faith. I have great memories.
I never knew Karin all that well in high school or after, but Jim (or Judy?) had posted a few months ago that Karin was having some struggles with her health and also with her husband's health, and could probably use a little encouragement and some prayers.
So I sent her an e-mail....just a general little "thinking of you....praying for you and your husband" kind of thing.
She responded with a lovely message which included her 'surprise' at hearing from me. We had a little more chatting and that was the last of it.
I am SO grateful for this website you guys have put together.....that brief crossing of paths would not have happened without it and I would simply have read her obituary online and felt a momentary sadness that Karin's life had ended.
As it is, I am grateful that she and I had that little cyber reunion and wish I had known her better.
I knew Karen over the years and knew her husband even better from G,M. She was a true friend and classmate. She helped so much with whatever task she was given.I also knew of her battle with her illness as i also had fought and won with cancer. We talked of it on the cyber waves and she was upbeat all the time. A new name was added at the Relay for life this year. Denny's passing seemed suden also but they will both be togather again now . John J. boes
