Joe and I were best buddies from the time that he worked at Stones Market till his death. His wife and my wife are cousins, both from Indiana. He, Jim Stone and I played a lot of golf over the years and it was never a dull moment. Joe had wonderful sense of humor and it was fun to be around him. I will never forget Joe Sheibly.

Joe and I went to grade school and high school together. We were very close in grade school and I spent a lot of time at the Sheibley house. When I was pitching in little league for Derrow's, the first place team, and Joe was playing for Kiwanis, the last place team, Joe hit a grand slam homer off me, and he always said thereafter that "that homer made a career for me"! I saw Joe only once after high school, when he was visiting here in Cleveland, but he always will be one of my favorite guys. And Joe, I remember well riding in the rumba seat with you in your Dad's very old car. Tondy Clemens

I don't remember any specific incidents, but Joe was just always smiling, always cheerful, always could make me laugh in class.
