Married Allen Parrish in 1962 in Defiance. Raised two children, Stacey who graduated from
DHS, and Kier, who was raised in N. Mi. and graduated from Kalkaska High School, Kalkaska, Mi. and Michigan Tech in Houghton, Mi. Moved back to Defiance in 1997. Allen Parrish died in 1998. I worked in Bryan Oh. Met Sam Strable in 1999 and married in 2oo1. Lived in Defiance until 2004, then moved into our current home, Crosscreek, in 2004. Gonna live here happily ever after.

I've always enjoyed traveling and have had the advantage of many friends all around to visit. My husband is a pilot and we have our own plane,hangar, and runway here at Crosscreek. You can't get much more convenient than that. Sam's into woodworking and I enjoy helping him finish things he's made. I also am a weaver and have made many baskets for myself and gifts. We both love to walk, hike, and ride trails on our bikes. Other than that we just love to visit with our many, many combined grandkids. It's a good life.

European countries a couple of times, Alaska, Hawaii several times, Bahamas, Canada and extensively in the USA.

Hawaiian Islands

Everything is mostly related to flying in our small plane. There was that one night we spent a Saturday night in the town dump in Kilarney in Canada with a dozen HUGE black bears, up close and personal. And, being on top of the highest peak in the Bavarian Alps with glider airplanes swooping so close you could almost touch them. And swooping close up on the Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska, in a helicopter, to see some Dahl sheep.
