Sharon Kae Andrist, 78 of Defiance passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday,  April 13, 2023 at the CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center.

Sharon was born June 24, 1944 to Leland “Nute” and Barbara  (Olinghouse) Mansfield. She was a graduate of Defiance High School in 1963. She resided in Sherwood ,Ohio for many years and enjoyed being a member of the Sherwood VFW Women’s Auxiliary and she was part of the Sherwood Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT. She worked for Johns Manville in Defiance, Ohio until her retirement in 1990. She was an avid motorcycle enthusiast . She played softball for the Johns Manville company team and even helped coach locally in Sherwood. 

Sharon leaves behind two sons, Jeffrey Andrist of Defiance and Matthew (Lisa) Andrist of Defiance. Six grandchildren , Darian, Amber, Lacey, Sarah, Kayla and Dallas and seven great-grandchildren who she absolutely adored. She had many nieces, nephews and extended family . She was everyone’s Aunt Sharon. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. 

She is preceded in death by both her parents , a brother Ronald Mansfield and a son Chad Michael.

Visitation will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service/Family Sharing at 5:00 p.m.
