Johnny graduated from DCHS in 1962 and was the first one to complete all 12 years at DC school.  He passed away on April 17, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Tx (heart complications).   Johnny was born January 12, 1945 in Carlsbad, NM to John Arthur and Earlene Gentry. He is survived by son, John Richard Gentry,  daughters, Vicki Collis and Cindi Castillo all of Carlsbad; sisters, Sharon Young and Valarie Gentry of Carlsbad and Brenda Billings of Comstock, Tx.; and seven granchildren.
