Joan J. Carlson, 71, of Davenport died Monday, January 24, 2011 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Disable Veterans of America. Online condolences may be made to www.therungemortuary.com

She was born October 27, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Susan (Milner) Jolley. 

She was an administrative assistant at the former Marycrest College for over 20 years and earned her bachelor degree during her tenor.

Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughters and spouses, Steve Larsen (special friend Tina Tidwell) Davenport, Leslie (Ambrose) Roland, Rock Island, IL, Laurie (Donnie) Barnett, CO, grandchildren, Abigail and Chelsea, brother, Robert (Sandra) Jolley, AZ, niece, Jennifer, cousin, Charles (Karen) Palmer, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death her parents.
