Madonna (Clemens) Wall, 76, of Ankeny passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family October 14, 2015.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

Madonna was born November 7, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a member of the synchronized swimming team, and graduated from East High School. She then married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Wall.

She was one of the first women that worked as a laborer at the John Deere Des Moines Works plant, from where she retired in 1996.

Madonna is survived by her children, Debbie (Brian) Murphy of Ankeny, Sandie (Dale) Lourash if Madrid, and Danny (Mindy) Wall of Ankeny; 7 grandchildren, Maggie and Ryan Murphy, Jon and Nick Lourash, and Haley, Reagan, and Anna Wall; 1 great-grandchild, Gemma; 1 brother Don Clemens and a sister in-law Doris Clemens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, and 2 brothers, Jim and Gordon Clemens.
