Riley Cook was born to Clara and Joseph Cook on March 11, 1939, in Fredonia, Kansas.  He was educated in the Des Moines Public School System and graduated from East High School in June 1958.  Riley served in the United States Marine Corps.  Riley began his journey home on November 4, 2009 at the Taylor House.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  Six children; two sisters; a host of grandchildren; nephews; and nieces.  Visitation services will be Sunday November 8, from 5 to 7 PM at the Mortuary.  Graveside services with Military Honors in  Iowa Veterans Cemetery on Monday, November 9 at 12:30 pm.  Arrangements entrusted to:  Cannon Mortuary   515-244-5253.
