Geri Lynne Mallett passed away on September 5th, 2023. Geri Lynne Mallett was born on June 17th, 1940 to Ruth and Ted Mallett. Geri grew up in Des Moines, and graduated from East High School in 1958. Geri worked at the state library for many years.

She was active in church and her women’s group. Geri was an avid fan of the King himself, Elvis Presley, lighthouses, and dolphins. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a great card player and played at any opportunity she had. She enjoyed going with her sister on bus trips, having lunches with her friends, and playing Farkle.
She loved her family more than anything and was always there when needed. 

Left to cherish her life are her children: Brent (Karla) Morris of Platte City, MO and Glenda Morris of Des Moines. Her sister Karen Gilbert of Des Moines. Grandchildren: Brenden and Gretchen Morris of Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceasing Geri are her parents and sister Thedra Mallett-Walker. 

She was so loved and will be missed beyond measure. We hope she’s meeting Elvis in heaven.
