Emily C. (Ribbey) McColly, 78, of Ankeny passed away January 8, 2019. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2018 at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N Ankeny Blvd). A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral. 

Emily was born February 28, 1940 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She graduated from East High School in 1958 and went to work for Northwestern Bell until her retirement in 1988. She also worked part time for H & R Block, and as an instructor for an Organ and Piano company for several years. 

She was a member of DEMO chapter of ABWA, Ankeny Historical Society, and McAllen Community Concerts membership drives. She was an organist at All Saints, OLIH, and St. Mary's Catholic Churches, and St. Paul's in Mission, TX. 

Emily enjoyed traveling, camping, crocheting, gardening, refinishing furniture, playing tennis, singing in the choir, and watching the hummingbirds at her feeders in Iowa and Texas. 

Emily is survived by her husband Verland; step son Richard (Liping) McColly and their 2 children.
