JAMES BYBEE

Went to Iowa State after high school. Took 6 years to graduate with degrees in accounting and finance. Worked at UPS loading trucks after graduation. Got a job with Accountemps and passed CPA test. Worked for Iowa Soybean Association for 4 years, Gardiner Thomsen CPA Firm for 4 years. Have worked for Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa for almost 8 years now. Most of my time is spent with my son. We watch the Chicago Cubs on TV and like to visit the Des Moines and other regional zoos. My son Seth attends Des Moines Christian School and is completely obsessed with lawn mowers.

One of my favorite memories from high school was in Mr. Patrilla's biology class. He had a fish tank with one fish that was way bigger than the rest of the other fish. Chris Wood put his hand in the fish tank to try to grab the big fish and the fish whipped his tail and water splashed out of the tank and Woody let go of the fish. Mr. Patrilla wasn't very happy about it but I can't remember if Chris had to go to the office or not.
