Joseph P. Amodeo

Joseph P. Amodeo Sr., age 66, passed away on Jan 25th at home in Newport, Oregon. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Adala and Ralph Sr. He was born Jan 13th, 1949, in Des Moines, graduating from St Anthony and Dowling High Schools. After high school, he enlisted in the US Marines and served two tours in Vietnam, most notably at the heroic and famous 1968 defense of our base at Khe Sanh. After military service, he resided in the Chicago, Il metro area, where he had a successful career in packaging industry marketing. Joe's legacy includes three fine sons, Joe Jr., Lou and Cody, all of Chicago. Also, he is survived by three brothers, Jim of Gainesville, VA, John, Ralph, Jr., and sister, Elaine Ragan, and spouses, all of Des Moines, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe leaves behind a nationwide contingent of friends and associates, notably many fellow Vietnam Marines - Semper Fi! Memorial arrangements are pending.
