Joe was such a great guy.  we were friends at dowling and we both separatly joined the Air Force In 1967.

To my great surprize, I was walking the the commissary on either Lowry AFB or Lacklang AFB (they were both training bases so I can't remember which) and up walks Joe and greets me.  Joe had joined a little earlier than I and he was so upbeat and positive that it really lifted my spirits.  I was just a bit down and questioning my decision to join and Joe was just the elixir I needed,  We talked for a long time and parted company and did not see each other again until the 20th class of 67 runion.  There he was; the same upbeat guy kind of holding court with a small group,  we hung together for a good part of the night.

It was my good fortune to have know Joe.

God be with you, Joe

As Rich Braine and Carmody said he was one of the good ones. We weren't all that close, but I considered him a friend. I helped him out a time or two when I was with DMPD.

There were approximately 30 folks at his service and celebration of life to support the family. I didn't see anybody from class of 67. As our numbers continue to diminish we should strive, if able, to attend services of our classmates to support their families.
