David graduated from Mackenzie High School in June, 1958. He attended Michigan State University the following year and graduated in 1962 with a degree in Packaging Engineering. He married Kay Reynolds who was also a graduate of Michigan State the same year. Shortly thereafter they moved to Lafayette, California. They had two boys, Greg and Steve. David and Kay were divorced in the early 80's whereupon David married Cynthia Pla and adopted her two girls Sharon and Karen. After moving to several California locations throughout his career David retired and built his dream home in the mountains near Tehachapi. His sudden death was unexpected.
