DICKS, CAROL ANN - Aged 69 glorious years, of Pleasant Lake, passed quietly from this life into her Savior's arms November 22, 2010 from the family home. Daughter of the late Albert and Esther Schultz; sister of the late Kenneth Schultz; and formerly from Taylor, Michigan, she lost a gallant battle with pancreatic cancer as her devoted family surrounded her throughout her final days. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty years, Allyn; four adoring children, Michael "Mick", Janice Ranck, Scott, and Karen Egolf; ten cherished grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Jennifer Patterson, Bill Egolf, Danielle, Lindsay Ranck, Shelby Egolf, Samantha, Thomas Ranck, and Kenneth Ranck; and four precious great-grandchildren, Aidan, Ashli Taylor Lynn, Seth, and Jacob. Carol, a dedicated and affectionate wife and mother, who placed her family above all things--except her Savior-- was deeply and completely loved, and will be sorely missed. Mrs. Dicks is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 North Blackstone where the family will receive friends on Friday, November 26th, 2010 from 2:00 through 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27th at 11:00 a.m. (following a 10:00 a.m. visitation) at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3637 Spring Arbor Road with Pastor Michael A. Geml presiding. Internment will take place Monday, November 29th 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit. The family encourages memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
