Harry Daniel “Dan” Lyszak, of Highland, MI passed away surrounded by his family in the morning hours of Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was 81 years old.

Dan grew up in Detroit, MI and graduated from Mackenzie High School. In 1976 he moved to Highland, MI into the Dunham Lake community with his wife, Carol and their three children. Dan could be a daredevil at times. He liked to scuba dive, sky dive and ride motorcycles just to name a few. He was also the self proclaimed “King of the Raft” on Dunham Lake for many years. Dan was an avid outdoors-man as he looked forward to fishing trips and his hunting adventures.

Dan didn’t always express his feelings verbally, but his family and those closest to him knew his loving ways through his kind gestures. He was adamant about cheering on his kids and his grandchildren in whatever sport they were playing and he cherished being a school bus driver later on in his career for Huron Valley Schools. He even had his own grand kids on his bus route! Harry Daniel Lyszak was a man set in his ways with an enormous heart. He will be forever missed.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Ann (nee. Schwanz) Lyszak; his children, Christine, (Brian) Belt, Michael (Kathleen) Lyszak and Patricia (Charles) Dantes; grandchildren, Daniel (Beth) Belt, Kaitlin Lyszak, Jacquelin Dantes, Jenna Lyszak, Callie Belt, C.J. Dantes and Michael Lyszak; his sister, Janet Faulkner; his many loving, brothers & sisters-in-law, and his numerous close friends and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Timothy Lyszak and Alfred Domanski.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Dan's family.
