Jacque, Dr. Florence Marie. age 92, February 6, 2011. Beloved Wife of the late Alonzo Paul Jacque who died serving his country while in the Navy in 1943. Loving Aunt of Norman Dmuchowski, Lila (Joel) Nava, Thomas James Carleton, Lawrence Carleton, David Taylor, Mary (Jake) Carleton-Smith, Kathleen Carleton and Robert (Sandy) Carleton. Proud Great-Aunt of 9 and Great-Great-Aunt of 3. Florence was one of the first female Deputy Superintendent of the Detroit Public Schools from 1970 to 1982. Before then she was the principal at Mackenzie High School in the 1960s. Visitation Thursday, 2-8pm at McCabe Funeral Home 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd. Farmington Hills. Kathryn Rowden (Chrzanowski)
Dr. Jacque was a beautiful women. In those days it was rare to find a women Principal. One recollection I have of her while working the plug in switchboard in the office, instead of being in a business class, is accidently unplugging her phone call. She was very kind about the situation.
