Sorry for this to be such a late addition. I had been away and this is my first opportunity to add my thoughts.
I remember Joan from about the third grade at Parkman grade school. We grew up two blocks apart so we played at the same places both summer and winter. I have nothing but very fond memories of her and her wonderful personality. I was one of the fortunate ones to have (an albeit short) conversation with Joan and meet her husband Chuck at the Mackenzie 62 reunion in June of 2012.
It was with great shock that I heard the news near the end of November 2012 that she had passed away. I will miss knowing she is still with us. Good by to a good friend of many years.
