Jack Donald Rothley of Waterford, Michigan passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 89 years of age.
Beloved husband of Patricia for 62 years. Loving father of Rebecca (Mark) Sassak and David Rothley. Proud grandfather of Ethan, Emma, Ellie, Aschay and Fanos. Brother and Brother-in-Law of Barbara Sarah, William Rothley, Thomas (Trish) Millar and Marsha (James) Houston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack was a member of Orchard Lake Community Presbyterian church where he served as both an Elder and Deacon and was active in the church Men's Bible Study group. He was an Army National Guard Veteran and a proud graduate of Michigan State University as well as a member of the Fraternal Order of Elks. Mr. Rothley was an avid sportsman who played both football and hockey in college. He enjoyed golf, racquet ball and softball well into his 70's. In his spare time he had enjoyed both snow and water skiing, hunting, fishing and participated in the Senior Olympics Track and Field events in his 60's and 70's. He will be very much missed by all.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Orchard Lake Community Presbyterian Church, 5171 Commerce Road in Orchard Lake. There will be visitation at the church Friday morning from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am.
