DEAGEN, JOHN Brighton, Michigan His Farewell... John Thomas Deagen, age 79, passed away on June 11, 2015, in Brighton, MI. He was born on April 14, 1936 to Lewis and Leona (Conquest) Deagen in Detroit, MI. John married the love of his life, Barbara Ososke, on May 29, 1965 at St. Christopher Church in Detroit, MI. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years until he retired in May of 2001. John loved to go camping and spend time outdoors. Most importantly, he devoted his time to his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His Family... John leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara of 50 years; children, Kelly (Rod) Bentz of Hamburg, Kris (Kim Gauthier) Deagen of Madison Heights, Kathy (Marc) Griffith of Pinckney, Karole (Brian) Topp of Gaylord; grandchildren, Bryan, Ashley, Brittany, Samantha, Kayla, Haley, Grace, Emma, Tyler, and Paige. He is also survived by his sister, Caroline Kambeitz of Romeo. John is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Leona; and his brother, Jerold Deagen. His Farewell... Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with a gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Village Church, 3430 Dover, Dexter MI with Fr. Brendan J. Walsh as Presider. John will be laid to rest at Hamburg Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to Parkinson's Association, charity of your choice , or to the family for future designation.
