Dr. Andrew Paul Kosta, DO, 78 years old, of Dearborn, Michigan passed away December 16, 2015. Andy was born on October 31, 1937, the youngest of four children to Paul and Angeline Petcou in Detroit, MI. 

Dr. Kosta graduated from Detroit MacKenzie High School where he earned admission to the University of Michigan graduating in 1959. Upon graduation, he moved to Chicago where he attended the Chicago School of Osteopathic Medicine earning his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1963. Dr. Kosta's medical career spanned five decades of serving his patients through Southeast Michigan. He was a practical Physician who focused his career on serving families and children. 

Uncle Andy, as he was known to his many nieces and nephews, had a deep appreciation for the humanities and was an avid collector of art and Hollywood films. His passion for both profoundly impacted those around him and inspired many to include in their education time for not only the sciences but also the arts. He was a dependable and devoted friend to many and always saw and brought out the best in others. He could always be counted on for wise counsel, a thought provoking joke or piece of movie trivia, and support for those he loved in their most dire times of need.

In addition to his many loving friends, cousins, nieces and nephews, Andy is survived by his sister and brother, Demetra Petroff and Dimitris Kosta. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Helen Hall and brothers, John Petcou and Michael Petcou. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20th, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 West. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 21st at 10:30 am in state 10:00 am at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church at 39851 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan.
