Joyce Anne Louise Jackson 
(June 13, 1945 - January 12, 2012) 

Joyce Anne Louise Jackson, age 66 of Howell, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Born June 13, 1945 in Detroit, she was the daughter of Ernest and Ella (Bennewies) Hartje. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping with family, gardening and working at home on various projects. She was known as being very selfless and generous with her time, always thinking of others before herself. Beloved wife of Robert E. Jackson, Sr. whom she married in Detroit on June 22, 1963. Loving mother of Robert E. (Teena) Jackson, Jr. of Connecticut, Darrell (Heather) Jackson of Howell and Jeffrey (Darla) Jackson of Fenton. Also survived by her grandchildren, Schuyler, Carter, Holly, Scott and Evan; mother, Ella Hartje of Monroe and brother, Glenn Bennewies of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Scheffler. Joyce was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, 312 Prospect St., Howell, where funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home – Howell (517-546-2800). Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Lung Cancer Partnership.
