Chrisanthe Vourax (Prappas)

Chrisanthe Prappas ObituaryChrisanthe V. Prappas, class of 1951, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones on June 1, 2018.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, 1933, to Anthony and Harriet Anagnos Vourax. Chrisanthe was a brilliant business woman and incredible mother, friend, and mentor. Among many business accomplishments, she served as Vice President of The Genesis Group, and Owner and CEO of Specialized Residential Care. Sheretired at the age of 75 but continued to mentor business owners within the field of Head Injury Rehabilitation and Supportive Living. She is well known

for her quick wit, memorable laugh, impeccable style, and indelible love forher three sons and family. Her most cherished legacy is that of her 6 grandchildren with whom she had a very close and loving relationship with. Her varied hobbies included golf, collecting fine art, classical music, and entertaining friends and family with beautiful parties. Chrisanthe was truly happiest when she was able to have all three of her “boys” in the same room sharing love, laughter, and cherished memories. Both parents preceded her in death along with her best friend and brother Myron Vourax. She is survivedby her three loving sons Paul (Carolee Colter) Prappas, James (Jennifer)Prappas; Dean (Kathleen) Prappas, sister Helen (Sylvan) Winocur; granddaughters Kristen and Alexandra;

grandsons Brendan, Wyatt, Radek, and Theo; two nieces; two nephews and extended family members. A memorial on behalf of Chrisanthe will be held August 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Sawyer Fuller FuneralHome, 2125 TwelveMile Road (2 blocksWest ofWoodwardAve.) Berkley, Michigan.
