Kathleen Yeagley (1958) (Banchero)

Kathleen A. Banchero, “Kathy”, age 80, of Farmington, passed away August 3, 2021.

Kathy was born August 28, 1940, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Audrey and Robert Yeagley.

She is the loving mother of Laura Banchero (Ryan Fleur) and Steven Banchero (Shannon); beloved grandmother of Robert and Anna Fleur and Joshua and Luke Banchero; dearest sister of the late Nann Tyler and Ted Yeagley.  She is also survived by her devoted friend and caregiver, Alan MacLeod.

Kathy taught elementary school for various school districts but left the profession to raise her children.  Later in life she managed school kitchens for Farmington Public Schools for over 25 years.  She was also an avid reader and movie goer.  As an expert needlewoman, she sewed, quilted, knitted, crocheted and embroidered. Her most enduring legacy is her steadfast devotion to her family.

A memorial service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held Saturday, August 14, 5 pm at the funeral home, where her family will receive friends beginning at 4 pm.

Paul Felix (1958)

 

I wish to offer the entire Yeagley family my deepest condolences.My name is Paul J Felix and I went to kindergarten thru the 7 th. Grade with Kathy at Noble Elementary school in Detroit. Also went thru 8 th and 9 th grade with her at Tappan Intermediate in Detroit .Then also went thru the 10th , 11 th. And 12 th grade with her at Mackenzie High School also in Detroit. 

Kathy always had many friends and was a very nice person. I also saw her at a few class reunions after we graduated.
