Nancy James (1959) (Scuderi)

SCUDERI, NANCY J.

SCUDERI,

72, was born in Detroit, MI on May 27, 1940 to Helen and Dale James. She passed away on July 13, 2012 and is now in the loving arms of our dear Lord. Nancy was a loving and devoted wife to Joseph W. Scuderi and an amazing mother to four children: Tony, Dale, Joe and Angelee, and a grandmother to 7. Nancy had a gift of brightening the day of everyone who knew her and everyone she met. She suffered for 40 years with multiple sclerosis and was bedridden for nearly 20 of those years. This, however, never stopped her from having a genuinely positive outlook on life. Her sense of humor and charisma was contagious. She instilled the gift of love and laughter to her entire family and she will never be forgotten. She was, from her bedside an inspiration to all, and one could only feel strengthened and renewed after having known her. She was, and always will be the light of our lives, and we will all miss her terribly. Our consolation lies in the belief that she is now free from the bondage of her debilitating disease and is now in the complete comfort and joy in the presence of our loving Lord. Mom, we love you and with all our hearts we miss you so much. Please look down upon us from Heaven, and with God our Heavenly Father, the Angels and Saints, keep us always, as you did on earth, in your maternal love and protection. Until we are joyously reunited with you again….we remain, always your loving and devoted family. God bless you! Visitation will be held from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm, Tuesday, July 17, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am, Wednesday, July 18, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Life Choice Women’s Clinic, 9303 N. 7th Street, #4, Phoenix, AZ 85020.
