Sam’s daughter, Joy Reid, wrote to inform us that Sam passed away from cancer Dec 2020. "He had supposedly beat lung cancer, however it metastasized to his brain. He came home on hospice care and my brothers and I cared for him in his home the last 3 months of his life."
