Dolores A. Cox, age 79, of Burtchville, passed away on January 15, 2022. She was born on September 15, 1942, in Detroit, to the late Edward and Vinnie Buter. She married Franklin Cox on May 18, 2011.

Dolores treasured times spent with her family. She loved the seasons in which she could be outside enjoying the beauty of her flowers in her gardens. She also loved the beauty God provided when she was watching the sunrise and sunset on the water. Dolores maintained a presidential level as an Avon representative. Her success in Avon was because of her compassion for others. The compassion she gave was felt by all those she met, because of her kind generous heart. Dolores was a life long member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Cox of Burtchville, three children; Cynthia (Duane) Geiger, Port Sanilac, Renee Raines, Madison, WI, and Randy Raines Hendersonville ,TN. She also had four grandchildren; Elissa Geiger, Mitchell Geiger, William Geiger and Madelynn Geiger, one sister, Carol Wilen Rockledge, FL., one nephew, Carl Wilen, GA and one niece, Cheryl Wilen Norway. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Vinnie and Edward Buter, and one brother, Charles Buter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
