Judith Ellen Muenchow age 72 of Lyons passed away August 8, 2016 at home. She was born November 30, 1943 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Dainus) Johnson. She was a longtime Ionia County Animal Shelter volunteer. Judy liked to make jewelry and collect rocks. She was a life member of the Pioneers.
Judy is survived by her sister, Norine (Fred) Ahrens of Arizona, Joyce Kapp of Canton and Virginia “Kushner” (Bill) Johnson of California and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Sheldon.
A catholic mass will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, August 13, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church 434 High St. Ionia, MI 48846 with Father Tom Brown celebrant. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 pm at Lake Funeral Home 3521 S. State Rd., Ionia, MI 48846 and Saturday 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
