 WILLIAMSBURG - Ron Van Kirk passed away on January 17, 2014 after battling a rare and aggressive autoimmune syndrome known as parneoplastic cerebellar degeneration. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Ron has resided in Williamsburg for the last 18 years. Though he spent 3 years stationed in the Phillipines, the majority of his career has been spent in sales. For the past 30 years Ron has been helping people find the home of their dreams as a consistently top performing real estate agent. In addition to real estate, some of his other passions included golfing, fishing, and hunting. But most importantly, Ron had incomparable zeal. He loved the Lord, good food, wine, friends, hugs, and just life in general. He was a true friend that never met a stranger and was known for being generous, kind, and ever ready with a smile. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Linda; his son Steve, wife Crystal and their twins Walker and Georgia (10); his daughter Holly, fiancee Jeff and her daughter Alyssa (9); and his daughter Jaime, husband Richard and their daughters Audrey (14), Chloe (12) and Sydney (9). A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25 at Williamsburg Community Chapel at 2 pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Williamsburg Community Chapel or Grove Christian Outreach Center.
