Robert L. “Bob” Pennywitt, son of the late Robert Edwin and Elizabeth Harrison Pennywitt, was born on March 4, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan and departed this life on Friday, September 7, 2012 at his residence in Somerset, Kentucky, at the age of 69 years. He retired from Detroit Diesel Corporation after 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Patricia S. Humphlett Pennywitt, his brother Alan and his wife Linda Pennywitt; his children, Brenda L. Lewis, Robert L. and wife Claudia Pennywitt, Rodney A. and wife Angela Pennywitt; his grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, Jennifer, Scott, Michael, Robert and Megan as well as five great-grandchildren.

“Bob” enjoyed his retirement being idle and took pride in watching his neighborhood as well as taking care of his “feathered” and “furry” friends and his property. He was a man of a few words, but will be missed by many people.
