FAMILY TRIBUTE

Jeanne Marie (Floyd) Dittberner went to Parker Elementary from kindergarten to eighth grade. In grades ninth through twelfth she went to Mackenzie High School graduating in 1963. Right after high school, she worked at Hudson's Department Store for two years and at Sears for two years. Jeanne was the caring wife of David Dittberner, loving mother of Deborah and David and adoring grandmother of Hannah. She always put others first . If she found out a friend or neighbor was ill or someone passed away she was the first to bring a meal or bake something.

Jeanne was in the choir and field hockey back in high school. She was in the Sweet Adelines/Barbershop Harmony Chorus for twenty-five years. She enjoyed ceramics and crafts for many years. She was also in a bowling league.

In her most recent years, even with battling cancer for eight years with chemotherapy, pain and fatigue. She was apart of the most amazing support group / Relay for Life team. She would look forward to raising money, making and donating baskets and baking goodies for every Relay walk that we attended. She walked several Karmanos Race for the Cure events with her family, always there un support of survivors bringing smiles, laughter and warmth to those around her.

She would most likely want to be remembered by her kindness and devotion to her family and friends. Most importantly, her love for her granddaughter, Hannah, she was the apple of her eye in every way.

Sorry to hear of Jeanne's passing.   She and I appear to have traveled similar paths.  Both Mackenzie grads, both choir members and both Barbershopers (Mine.. Masters of Harmony Chapter, Santa Fe Springs, CA).

Perhaps we will sing together in a more heavenly chorus one day!

My regards to the family.:
