Dennis Lyle Battle, age 70, of Adrian, died on Friday, June 17, 2016, at his home. He was born April 30, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to Gordon and Evelyn Mae (Newton) Battle. He had been employed by Safety Kleen, retiring in 2003. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1969. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. Dennis is survived by his children, Todd (Claudia) Battle of Adrian and Michelle (Brian) Renfrew of Okemos, Michigan and their mother, Dorothy Battle of Trenton, Michigan; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Brianna, Zachary, Emily and Lily. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Glenn. Visitation for Dennis will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. to be followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Daryl Etheridge officiating. Full Military Rites will be conducted by the Annis-Fint VFW Post #1584 and the American Legion Post # 97, at the funeral home, following the service.
