Information for Mentoring Program
(Seasonal: September to June of each school year)
Greetings Alumni! Quick request. If your schedule permits, come to the Mentoring Session on Thursday at Osborn @ 3:00 p.m. This would be a good time to meet some talented students, every week we learn something new about the many talented students attending Osborn and they never receive the recognition they deserve. We should show up and let them know they are not forgotten. If we (Alumni) don't recognized them and their talents who will?
The contrast to this, when something negative happens with any school in Detroit, the local news anchors will jump on the story like nobodies business. Two weeks ago duirng the Mentoring Session, we learned two of our Students has some of the highest Standardize Test Scores thus far. This is NOT reported anywhere.
Alumni, if you have something of a positive nature that you would like to share with the students, such as; jobs, scholarships, internships, trade-vocational opportunities, lets share the knowledge. If you would like to come and speak to the students, you can inbox Allison Jones Rushing, Equania Nelson and Milton Howze.
