Dear Alumni Classmate,
 
Our 30 years (plus) Class Reunion is fast approaching and Excitement Is In The Air. We’re looking forward to seeing you the weekend of Friday, November 6, 2009 – Sunday, November 8, 2009. The Class Reunion Committee has been working diligently to make this a fun, relaxing, and memorable event.     
 
We have planned the 3 day weekend as a “keep it casual” event, with the exception of The Dinner planned for Saturday, November 7, it will be a Formal Event. Included with this letter is the Itinerary, Hotel Reservation, and Souvenir Book details. During this Grand weekend we will have wonderful food & beverages, lots of time for reminiscing, getting reacquainted, entertainment, and dancing.
 
We will kick off our “Grand Reunion”, on Friday evening, November 7, we have arranged an informal Meet and Greet in the beautiful Hyatt Regency Lounge. Saturday, November 8, festivities will begin with an optional tour of Osborn High School (now Osborn University), later that evening a Light Wine Reception/Class Photo, followed by The Formal Dinner/Class Recognition Program/ & DancingSunday, November 8, we will end with a Continental Breakfast and a Farewell Service by one of our own classmates, Minister Joseph Valery (77’). 
 
The Hospitality Suite will be opened to all paid registered Hotel Guests all day.
 
The Registration Fee of this fabulous weekend is $150 for Alumnus and $75 for Non-Alumnus (spouses, significant others, and guests).  After October 12, there is a $25 late fee charge. The Alumni Registration Fee will cover all scheduled event food & beverages at the hotel, a 30 Year Commemorative Gift, Class Group Photo, Souvenir Book, and your name will be placed in a Cash Drawing-Prize. For Non-Alumni the Registration Fee will cover all scheduled event food & beverages at the hotel. These fees will not cover any additional costs, such as, hotel fees, traveling expenses, additional Souvenir Books, meals in between events, and other personal expenses.
 
We have two payment options for your convenience; you may pay by check or money order payable to: Osborn High School Class Reunion Send payments and the enclosed Registration Card/Form to P.O. Box 14150, Detroit, MI 48214, Attention: Mrs. Delise Carthen-Baker.  You may also make payments and submit your Registration Card/Form on-line via the Osborn Website: www.classcreator.com/detroit-mi-osborn-1976-1978; click on the Reunion Registration icon for payments then click on Reunion Forms for the Registration Card/Form.
 
The deadline for all Registration & Registration Fees is Monday, October 12, 2009.  After October 12, 2009 there will be a $25 late fee charge. 
 
The payment schedule is as follow, for Alumnus $150 Registration Fee; (after Oct 12, the Registration Fee is $175):
 
  • August 3, 2009           $50.00 payment          ($100 balance)
  • September 7, 2009      $50.00 payment          ($50   balance)           
  • October 12, 2009        $50.00 payment          (balance paid in full)
 
The payment schedule is as follow, for Non-Alumnus $75 Registration Fee; (after Oct 12, the Registration Fee is $100):
 
  • August 3, 2009           $25.00 payment          ($50 balance)
  • September 7, 2009      $25.00 payment          ($25 balance)
  • October 12, 2009        $25.00 payment          (balance paid in full)  
If you are unable to attend the “Grand Reunion” and would like to make a contribution toward the Scholarship Fund and/or “In Memory” Plague for deceased classmates, please send a check or money order to the above P.O. Box or make a contribution on-line. In addition, if you would like a Souvenir Book please send $25.00 check or money order to the above P.O. Box or submit your payment on-line, www.classcreator.com/detroit-mi-osborn-1976-1978.
 
We would like for as many classmates to come and enjoy this Milestone Reunion so please send any missing classmate’s names, address, and telephone number so we can contact them. If you know of any other deceased classmates please let us know as well. We will have a special “In Memory” tribute for them during the Formal Dinner.
