He retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, after 30 years of service and continued his electrical engineering career at Envisioneering. John's goal in life was to follow God's will and bring others to know him through ordinary ways.

A funeral will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in King George Friday, June 17, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Shay officiating. Burial will follow in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. A rosary will be led by Knights of Columbus members at 7:30 p.m.
