David William Nail, age 67, of Commerce; passed away on December 20, 2011. Mr. Nail was a 3rd generation owner of Lex Tool & Machine in Redford. He served in the US Coast Guard, where he participated in two tours during the Vietnam era. His true enjoyments were spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved and adored very much. David was a long time member of New Song Community Church and his hobbies included grilling and relaxing by his pool. Beloved husband of 40 years to Marilyn; dear father of Lisa (David) Artrip, Jennifer (Marc) Demarest; proud grandfather of Callie, Griffin, Bryan, Fisher, Joey. Mr. Nail was preceded in death by his grandson Daniel; brother of Leslie Doyle; uncle of Melanie; son-in-law of Helen Talkat and the late Richard Raczkowski; brother-in-law of Ricky, Robert, and Randy Raczkowski. Mr. Nail was preceded in death by his parents William and Rita Nail. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at New Song Community Church, 1800 W. Maple Road, Commerce, MI 48390. The family will gather at the church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. to greet friends until the time of service.
