I feel the need to say something about Steve since nobody has. Steve was in band with me in high school, and after learning that he was going to Tennessee Tech in the fall, we decided to room together as freshman in college. Steve was a hard working guy, he had a good sense of humor and would do anything to help any of his friends. He was one of those people that had to get to know you before he opened up to you. Steve had some childhood experiences that were difficult and at times still troubled him.

One of my favorite memories of Steve was when I went out to his house to try to "bond" before starting college. We both shared a love for weapons and out in the country - we naturally decided to shoot some. The experience ended up with shooting apples off a fence post. Well, I out shot Steve and he never really liked that. Of course, I let him know from time to time on that one day - I got him. He'd curse, then usually smile. I always liked that.

I really did not get to know him untill the Seventh Grade. He was quite and a little standoffish but was the funniest person in the room. I wish i was there for him.
