We were recently made aware of the passing of Rose Kellar Ely. She passed on Oct. 13, 2020, in a nursing home in Batesville, Ark., where she had been living for a year or so. She had been in ill health for a while and succumbed to her ailments, aggravated by COVID-19.

Rose was a fine member of the DHS class of 1962, smart and friendly. She worked as an accountnt at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa for more than 30 years. 

A proficient amateur photographer, one of Rose’s photos is used on the home page of this site. You may recall it was also on the cover of our 40th year reunion Memory Book. In addition, she furnished some of the photos used in the School Tour portion of that book. 

We send condolences to her sister Doris  and to her entire family.
