It is with the deepest regret that I heard this morning of the passing of Solveig Shapiro.
Many members of the market research fraternity will have known Solveig and remember her with respect and affection. She had a long and important career in market research and made an important contribution to the industry.
In her final years Solveig owned the company The Qualitative Consultancy which started in 1985 and was acquired by Solveig in 1991. The company had offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town and offered what are arguably the best focus group facilities in the country.
Solveig leaves a daughter and 4 grandchildren who made her final years happy and fulfilled.
Our sympathy goes all those who loved her and cared for her in her final days.
