Nathan Crowell

Crowell Nathan D., 22 of Portsmouth formerly of Riverside passed away while playing his favorite sport hockey. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of David Crowell of Riverside and Gale Stevens Crowell of Rehoboth. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters Leah Crowell of Riverside, Sarah Crowell-Stringer and her husband Ian of Portsmouth, his maternal grandmother M. Deloris(Boots) Stevens of Florida and his girlfriend Jillian Belanger. He was the grandson of the late David and Jeanne Frances Crowell and Lester B. Stevens. . He was a 2003 graduate from East Providence High School where he played hockey, and also played soccer for the East Providence Merchants for many years. Nathan was a student at the University of New Haven and was scheduled to graduate in December with a major in Investigative Services, a minor in Political Science, and received his certificate in Computer Crime. He was also studying Arabic. He played hockey for the “Chiefs”, a Mens Hockey League out of Connecticut, for the last three years. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3-8pm in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Avenue Riverside with a Funeral Service at 7:00pm. Burial will be private.
