I was sad to hear of John's death. He died serving our nation during the Vietnam War. After hearing of his passing, I made an effort to visit the Vietnam War Memorial where I found his name upon the black wall. Thank you John for your serve to this nation and for the great sacrifice you made to preserve our freedom. You were always fun to be around and had a terrific sense of humor.
John was one of the funnest and funniest friends I had in High School. He gave every one nick names, mine was "Flamer" because I painted flames on my 49 Ford. I continued to use that nick name on my art work until I became,"Grandpaw Ed." I think of him often and regret that he had to pay the ultimate sacrifice in Harm's way.

I have been to the wall twice in memory of John. We were so young and seems like alot of our young men were there. John was broght back to E,St Louis and a group of us girls went to viewing. It was a beautiful tribute to John and I personally feel his death was not wasted. All remembered.
My heart just skipped a beat or two when I saw that John had passed . I knew John from my neighborhood, We used to play ball and ride our bikes around 15th and Lynch in East St.Louis, I will never forget the fun we had. John was so good at telling jokes, laughing, and smiling. He also was a super baseball player, he loved the game. I will always remember him. God bless you John Nagy.
