Albert walked Sadie Ripley and me home from Rock Junior High every day in the 9th grade. He did it partly for security, but it was also the best part of the day. We just walked and talked. He was a good friend. Most kids called him Al or "Butch", but I had special permission to call him Albert. How I wish I could meet with Albert and Sadie at the reunion, but I will be thinking of them.
