Joseph Peter "J.P." Bingler, 21, of East Stroudsburg, died Sunday, October 28, in an auto accident in Tunkhannock Township.

Born on , in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Joseph A. and Deborahann (McCandless) Bingler of East Stroudsburg.

A 1998 graduate of East Stroudsburg High School, he was a member of the East Stroudsburg High School Varsity Wrestling team, and an avid weight lifter.

For the past year, he was an employee of Pickarski Inc., Gouldsboro. Prior to that, he worked for H.V.A.C. Heating & Air Conditioning Company, East Stroudsburg.

He showed his true love for the outdoors by hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed playing paintball, snowboarding in the winter and dancing. He was Catholic by faith.

Loved by his family, he was a wonderful son and brother. He will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Brandon C. Bingler and Blake C. Bingler, both of East Stroudsburg and his maternal grandfather, Richard H. McCandless of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. The Reverend Robert McGann will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from — to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation, 216 North River St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18072.
