Alene D. Cook of Dover passed away, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Delaware She was 86. Ms. Cook was born February 21, 1936, in Crisfield, Maryland to the late Ronald Tyler and Ethel Delores Somers Tyler.  She was a sales associate for 21 years, retiring in 1999. Ms. Cook enjoyed flower arranging and Mahjong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by aunt, Addelle “Maggie” Somers Schmick; uncle, Hiram Thomas Somers. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Cook and her husband Hossein Ziglari of Folsom, CA; son, Donald Richard Cook, Jr. of Huntington Beach, CA; brother, Ronald Tyler and his wife Josephine.  Funeral services were held 10:30, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 to 10:30. Interment will be in Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Delaware.
